How can I create automations?

How can I create automations in the Segment Management? Are there differences between automations in ad segments and product segments?

There are two ways to create or activate automations:

  1. In the ad segments for all campaigns in this segment and
  2. in the product segments for the respective products in the product segment.

The functionality is the same in both cases.

Creation of automations in an ad segment

To create an automation in an ad segment, you first need an ad segment. So the first step is to create a new ad segment.

Once the ad segment has been created, it is initially empty. You now have the option of filling the segment with automations and individual rules.

To create an automation, click on "Create new automation". A window will open in which you can name your automation, select marketplaces and, of course, configure the function of your automation.

  • ACOS (%)
  • ROAS
  • Total ACOS (%) 

The Automation intensity can be set to cautious, moderate or dynamic. Click on "Save" to create the automation. The intensity determines how quickly a new adjustment is made, whereby cautious should be selected for slightly less desired adjustments and dynamic for more. 

The automation is now displayed in the ad segment with the most important properties and can be edited from there. You now have the option of changing the intensity of the automation or pausing the automation with little effort. If you want to change the target value of the automation, you can do this via the three dots under "Edit Automation". You also have the option of deleting the automation here.

Automationen in Produkt-Segmenten

Automations in product segments are created differently to those in ad segments. Here too, you must first create a new product segment if there is not already one existing.

Once the product segment has been filled, you will find an overview with the current ACOS and some setting options under each row of an ad type or focus.

In this menu, you can directly select the strategy for the automation, enter a target value and start the automation for this series. You can also activate keyword management here with one click and select the intensity for the bid automation.
