How can I create ad segments?

What options are there for creating ad segments and where can I create them?

To create a new ad segment, navigate to section "Segment Management" and click on the "Add segment +" button at the top right. In the window that now opens, select the segment type "Ad Segment" and click Continue. 
In the first step, you can now enter a name for the segment. Below this, in the "Apply to" area, you can set conditions that determine which campaigns should be included in the newly created segment.

To do this, first select an option from campaign, ad group, keyword or portfolio. You also have the option of selecting "All campaigns" directly. Now you can select a condition, such as "Contains" or "Starts with". In the third free field, you can enter characters such as a word, an abbreviation or even numbers. For example, if you select Campaign as the target and "Contains" as the condition, all campaigns that contain this word in their name will belong to this ad segment.

With the "+" button next to the row, you can also add another row and with that another condition. You can then also choose above whether campaigns should be included in the ad segment if they fulfill all of the conditions below - "match ALL of the below", or whether it is sufficient if they fulfill one of the conditions below - "match ANY of the below".

Once you have defined all the conditions, you can click on "Save" and create the ad segment. Within the ad segment, you can now create automations and individual rules that then apply to the campaigns included in the segment that you have defined with your settings.
