Difference Between Campaign Structures

The campaign structure determines how ad groups are organized within your campaigns. There are two main options: With the budget-oriented structure, you have only one ad group per campaign. This setup allows for precise budget control for each match type, since you set the budget at the campaign level, but match types can only be managed at the ad group level.

The overview-oriented structure allows you to combine several ad groups in one campaign. This keeps your account compact and easy to manage, but it doesn't allow you to allocate or control budgets at the match type level.

The budget-oriented structure is recommended if you want to control your budget exactly for each ad group – for example, for granular testing, strict targets for each group, or clear separation of budget monitoring.

The overview-oriented variant is best if you prefer fewer, well-structured campaigns and want to maintain an easy overview.
