Overview
The status shows whether an element such as a campaign, ad group, target, or product ad is currently running. There are four possible status values: Enabled, Paused, Archived, and In Progress. If an entry is marked In Progress, it means a change is being applied and will take effect shortly. In the table, you can identify the status by a colored dot in the Status column. If you hover over it with your mouse, the full status is shown as text.
You have two ways to change the status: either for multiple selected rows at once using the Change status function, or individually for an entry in its detailed dialog via the Status field.
Accessing the Function
Go to Main Menu and select Analytics. Then choose the desired level: Campaigns, Ad Groups, Targets, Product Ads, or Negative Targets.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Open the Area You Want
Switch to Analytics and select the area where you want to review or adjust a status.
Step 2.1: Adjust Multiple Statuses at Once
Check one or more rows in the overview using the checkboxes. As soon as at least one row is selected, the action bar with the Change status button appears above the table.
Click Change status to open the dropdown. Here, you can set the selected item (campaign, ad group, etc.) to "Enabled", "Paused", or "Archived".
Step 2.2: Change an Individual Ad Group
Click the pencil symbol Edit in the row of the ad group you want. In the dialog that opens, you'll find the option Status. In this dropdown, you can also set the selected item to "Enabled", "Paused", or "Archived". Click Save to schedule the change.
Settings & Options
Use the Status filter to search specifically for certain statuses like Enabled, Paused, Archived, or In Progress – no matter which level you are on. The Status column is usually always visible. If it's missing, you can show it again via Edit Columns and customize the table columns as you need.
Limitations & Special Notes
- Please note: bulk actions (for example, via Select all) are limited to a maximum of 1,500 data rows per action.
- Changes will display as In Progress until they have been fully processed by Amazon.
- Status changes are available for Campaigns, Ad Groups, Targets, Product Ads, and Negative Targets but not for Marketplaces or Portfolios.
Tips & Best Practices
- Before making bulk changes, check the number of selected data rows in the action bar (shown as, for example, "… entries selected.").
- Place the Status column in your table using Edit Columns so you always have it in view.
- Hover your mouse over the colored dot to see the current status as text without clicking.
