Overview
The Product Settings offer a central product overview with convenient search and filter functions. You can edit product names directly, manage tags, selectively hide or unhide products, and permanently remove products from management. Hiding a product does not affect other functions – the product is simply grayed out and marked as hidden. Removing a product will delete it from the platform and make it disappear from your list.
Accessing the Function
You can access the Product Settings through the Management navigation area under Product Settings.
Step-by-Step Guide
Finding and Selecting Products
To find specific products, use the search field with the placeholder "Enter search term...". You can select individual products by checking their box, or select all displayed products using the top checkbox. The top area will show you how many products are currently selected. Depending on your selection, suitable actions are available via the Select Action dropdown menu.
If your search returns no results, you'll see: "No products matching your criteria could be found." If you haven’t connected any profiles yet, you’ll see a notice that no profiles are connected.
Hiding or Unhiding Products
To control product visibility, click the relevant button in the product header. If your product is visible, you'll see Hide Product. If it's hidden, you'll see Unhide Product. After you confirm the dialog, the change is applied. When you unhide a product, it and its ads are reactivated.
Note that hiding a product does not affect campaigns or similar functions. It simply allows you to use a filter to keep them from showing up in Product Settings for easier management.
Permanently Removing Products
If you want to permanently delete a product from management, open the product's context menu and select Remove Product. A dialog will ask: "Do you really want to remove the selected product?" – confirm with Delete to mark the product as deleted and remove it from the list. Click Cancel to make no changes. Removed products will no longer be included in reports and dashboards.
Viewing Ad Group Structure
After making your Keyword Management settings, you can find an overview of linked ad groups via Show Ad Group Structure in the product’s context menu.
Product Details
Click the expand button next to a product for the detail view. Here, you’ll find status, category, and bestseller rank (BSR) for each SKU of your product. The BSR is split into main BSR and sub BSR, with categories also divided into main and subcategories.
Bulk Operations – Edit Multiple Products by File
In the settings menu of the toolbar, you’ll find the Bulk Operations section. Here, you can upload an .xlsx file to change multiple products at once. Download the provided Excel template, make your changes, then upload the file. After uploading, your changes are applied in the background and the product list updates automatically. A confirmation dialog ensures changes are checked before being finalized.
Settings & Options
The main settings you can make in Product Settings are hiding and removing products. You can also view BSR and product categories, as well as check your overview of linked ad groups for keyword management.
With the filter function, you can filter your products by visibility, status, tag, and marketplace.
Limitations & Special Notes
- Hiding a product will automatically pause all related ads, while unhiding will reactivate them. Depending on the number of ad group assignments, this may take a moment.
- Permanent removal marks the product as deleted and removes it from your list.
Tips & Best Practices
- Use the search field and filters to select the appropriate products before making big changes.
- Use Hide Product when you want to temporarily disable products, and only use Remove if you are sure you won’t need the product anymore.
- After making changes, review possible effects in your Automation segments, and keep tags up to date to make list display and bulk editing easier.
