Overview

The "Sort Dashboards" feature lets you control the order in which your dashboards are displayed. You have two options: either sort dashboards automatically by date, name, or type, or set the order yourself with drag & drop. This makes it easier to keep your most important dashboards at the top and your list organized.

Accessing the Function

You can access the sort feature via the main menu by navigating to Dashboards. There, in the dashboard menu, you'll find the Sort option. This opens the corresponding settings window directly.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open the Dashboard Sorting Modal

First, go to the Dashboards section, open the dashboard menu, and click on Sort. The window titled Dashboard Sorting will appear. Here you’ll find a dropdown to select the sorting criteria, a list of your dashboards that you can arrange with drag & drop, and buttons labeled Cancel and Save. Special dashboards like AMC Dashboard (Request) are fixed at the top and can’t be moved.

Step 2: Sorting Dashboards

  1. Based on criteria:
Select your preferred sorting method for automatic ordering from the dropdown at the top:
  • Newest First (Default): The most recently created dashboards are shown at the top.
  • Oldest First: The first-created dashboards are shown at the top.
  • Alphabetical: Sorts dashboards from A to Z by name.
  • Alphabetical (Reverse): Sorts dashboards from Z to A.
  • By Dashboard Type: Groups dashboards by type (AMC first, then DSP, and then other PPC dashboards), sorting alphabetically within each group.

Fixed entries like AMC Dashboard (Request) will always be at the top.

  1. Set a manual order:
If you want to set the order yourself, simply hold and drag a dashboard to a new position in the list. Once you move a dashboard manually, the dropdown automatically switches to Manual. After saving, this order is permanently stored for your user account.

Here too, fixed dashboards like AMC Dashboard (Request) will always remain at the top and can’t be moved.

Step 3: Save Changes: Apply Your Sorting Permanently

To confirm your sorting preferences, click Save. This will permanently apply your chosen order to your account. If you selected automatic sorting, your preference will be saved as the default; for manual sorting, the specific order will be saved. If you don’t want to save changes, close the window with Cancel.

Settings & Options

Your selected sorting preference is saved to your user profile and will always be active in your view – even if you log in on another device.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • The default setting is Newest First (Default).
  • If you have no dashboards, you can't sort anything.
  • If you have many dashboards, it may take a moment for the new order to be visible after saving.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use Newest First (Default) if you work mainly with new dashboards and want to find them quickly.
  • Choose Manual if you always want certain dashboards at the top and use your own workflow.
  • Pick clear, consistent names, e.g. with prefixes like "[Team]" or "[Client]", so alphabetical sorting remains practical.
