Overview

In the Advertiser Management section, you can manage subaccounts and control their Amazon connections. Amazon profiles (so-called “Profiles”) can be easily removed from one subaccount and added to another. After the transfer, performance data from the last 60 days will be reloaded and made available in the new subaccount. This allows you to seamlessly transfer an Amazon account from one team member to another, as long as both belong to the same agency location.

Accessing the Function

You can find this function in the main menu under Account Manager on the Advertiser Management page.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Select the Subaccount to Transfer From

Open the Advertiser Management page. In the table, find the subaccount from which you want to remove the Amazon profile and click Edit (pencil icon) on the right. This opens the edit dialog for that subaccount.

Step 2: Check Profiles

Scroll down in the edit dialog to the Profile section. In the table, you will see all current Amazon profiles assigned to this subaccount, along with information about account, type, country, and current owner. The checkbox next to each profile shows if the profile is assigned to this subaccount. “Updated ... ago” lets you know how current the view is. You can also refresh the profile list here if you make changes.

Step 3: Deselect the Profile From the Source Subaccount

Remove the checkmark from the profile you want to transfer. This will unassign the profile from this subaccount when you save your changes. Some profiles may be deactivated or locked and cannot be removed here. For more information, see “Limitations.”

Step 4: Assign the Profile to the Target Subaccount

Close the edit window with Cancel (without saving), then open the edit dialog for the target subaccount by clicking Edit. Add a checkmark next to the profile you want to transfer. This will assign the profile to the new subaccount after saving. The “Current Owner” column shows which subaccount currently owns the profile – but you can still assign it within the agency, and the transfer takes place automatically when you save.

Step 5: Save Changes

Confirm your changes by clicking Save. This initiates the transfer. Technically, the profile will first be removed from the old subaccount, then added to the new one. Performance data for the last 60 days will be reloaded.

If you see an error message or clicking "Save" does nothing: Check your permissions, any restrictions on the profile, or refresh the profile list using the reload option.

Step 6: Check the Result

After the move, open the edit dialog for the target subaccount again via Edit and go to the Profile section. Check that the profile is checked and the current owner is shown correctly. Usually, performance data is updated within a few minutes. If the profile does not appear, refresh the list and try again if necessary.

Settings & Options

Permissions for this function depend on your account type. Only administrators can see all options in the Advertiser Management section.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • Moving Amazon profiles is only possible within the same agency. Transfers between agencies are not possible.
  • After a transfer, only performance data from the past 60 days will be transferred. Older data may remain aggregated with the old owner.

If the main account does not yet have an Amazon connection, you must set this up under Account Settings > Amazon Connection. When profiles are newly connected, it may help to refresh the display using the update function.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Always move Amazon profiles one at a time and check after every transfer that the "Current Owner" is shown correctly in the target subaccount.
  • After clicking Save, wait briefly until the display marks the update as complete before making further changes.
  • Document internally why the transfer was made for future audits.
  • After a transfer, review the target subaccount’s permissions and access rights.
