Overview
With Manage Advertisers, you centrally organize all subaccounts (advertisers) for your agency. The email address of a subaccount is a key login identifier, but it cannot be edited directly in the list overview. Instead, you must change it in the Account Settings of the specific account. As an agency administrator, you can switch to the subaccount using the Log In option to make the change there.
Accessing the Function
To change the email address of a subaccount, you need access to two areas:
- In agency management: Manage Advertisers
- In the subaccount itself: Account Settings and the section Personal Settings
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Open “Manage Advertisers”
Navigate to Manage Advertisers via the user menu. Here you’ll see a list of all linked accounts and their roles and permissions.
Step 2: Select Subaccount
Find the subaccount you want in the list. Among other columns, you’ll see Email Address and Connections, as well as the options Log In, Edit, and Delete.
Use Log In to temporarily switch to that subaccount and adjust the settings directly there.
Edit is for general editing of the subaccount, but not for changing the email address.
If you do not see the Log In option, make sure you have the necessary admin rights.
Step 3: Open Account Settings
Now, in the subaccount, open Account Settings in the user menu. This will take you to the Personal Settings page.
Step 4: Change the Email Address
Enter the new email address under Account Email Address and save it using Update right below the input field.
Settings & Options
In subaccount management, you can use Edit to change various fields like Account Type, Permission Type, Manage Permissions, or Share of Voice Credits. However, the email address cannot be changed here – this is only possible in the Personal Settings of the respective subaccount.
Limitations & Special Notes
- Only administrators have access to Manage Advertisers and can use the Log In option.
- The email address can only be changed in the account settings of the subaccount, not directly in the overview list.
- The new email address must be different from the current one, correctly formatted, and unique. Email addresses that are already in use cannot be chosen.
- If two-factor authentication by email is enabled, confirmation codes will be sent to the new address after the change.
Tips & Best Practices
- After you change the email address, test if logging in with the new address works. The Log In function is helpful here.
- Make sure the new email address is spelled correctly and, if needed, copy it from a verified source to avoid typos.
- Notify the subaccount owner immediately after the change, as their login address has been updated.
