Is It Possible to Change the Date Format?

Want to adjust the date format in your BidX account? You can easily choose between the European (DD.MM.YYYY) and US (MM/DD/YYYY) standards to stay clear and avoid confusion.

Overview

The date format setting determines how all dates are displayed in your BidX account – for example, in calendars, tables, or charts. You can choose between two formats: the European format "DD.MM.YYYY" and the US format "MM/DD/YYYY." This setting only affects your own interface.

Accessing the Function

To change the date format, go to your Account Settings and open the Language & Currency section. Under Regional Settings, you’ll find the option to select your preferred date format at the bottom of the list.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Select Date Format

Open Account Settings and navigate to Language & Currency. Scroll down to the section labeled Set your preferred date format here. Here you’ll find a dropdown menu to choose between the formats.

  • DD.MM.YYYY: Choose this if you prefer the European style – for example, 31.12.2025.
  • MM/DD/YYYY: Choose this if you follow the US standard – for example, 12/31/2025.

This change will update how dates are shown in calendars, charts, and tables right away. If the Update button is briefly disabled, please wait until all settings are loaded.

Step 2: Save Changes and Activate New Display

Confirm your choice by clicking Update. After saving, you’ll see a success message: “Your settings have been changed and will take effect after you reload the page.” The page will either refresh automatically or you can manually reload it to see the changes. If you don’t receive a confirmation, please check your internet connection and reload the page. If problems continue, contact support.

  • Set your preferred language here: Choose your desired interface language.
  • Select your preferred currency: Adjust how values and prices are displayed by currency.

Note: These settings are independent from the date format and can be saved together.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • The date format setting only applies to your user account – not to other team members.
  • Changes take effect after you click Update and are visible after the page reloads. A confirmation will be shown when the update is active.
  • Only DD.MM.YYYY and MM/DD/YYYY formats are available.

  • Choose the format that fits your work habits or your team’s standard.
  • Double-check calendars and reports after changes to avoid confusion.
  • If your team uses mixed formats, it’s a good idea to document which format is being used internally.
