How Far Back Does My Historical Data Go After I Connect?

Once you connect your Amazon account, your ad data will be imported immediately. The initial sync starts right away and you'll quickly get access to your campaign data in the Dashboards and Analytics sections.

Answer

After successfully connecting with Amazon, your historical advertising data for up to 60 days will be imported retroactively. Within about 30 minutes, you’ll see the first data in the system. During this initial sync, all important details like campaigns, ad groups, keywords or targets, and performance metrics are loaded and prepared for analysis. In the Dashboards section, you will by default see metrics from the last two validated weeks. The full preparation of data for the entire 60 days may take a bit longer depending on your account size, but it always runs automatically in the background.

Accessing the Function

To import your historical advertising data, you first need to connect your Amazon account. This is done via Account Settings under the Amazon Connections area. Once connected, the system will automatically begin importing your data. You can then view your results in the Dashboards and Analytics sections.

Settings & Options

In the Dashboards, you can adjust the date filter to display any data from the past 60 days. You can also use the Refresh Amazon Data button to manually start a new sync if you notice a delay or want to refresh the data yourself.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • The time for completing the initial sync depends on the size and complexity of your ad account. The more campaigns, ad groups, or records, the longer processing may take.
  • After you connect, you’ll see the message: “You have successfully connected... It will take about 30 minutes...”. Data syncing continues even if you close the system.
  • The default view of “last two validated weeks” is just a display setting. In the background, up to 60 days of data are actually being synced.
  • For very large accounts or with different campaign types (like Sponsored Brands or Sponsored Display), some areas may finish loading and become visible at different times.

Tips & Best Practices

  • After about 30 to 60 minutes, check the Dashboards and Analytics sections to see if your key metrics have appeared.
  • If needed, use the Refresh Amazon Data function for a manual update.
  • If some data is still missing after two to three hours, check in Account Settings to make sure your Amazon connection is still active. If you’re still missing data, feel free to contact Support directly.
