Overview

Total ACOS measures the ratio of your total advertising costs (Paid Cost) to your total sales. This gives you a holistic view of your product profitability because both organic and paid sales are considered. In BidX, you can also set a "Target Total ACOS" and align your automations with it – this allows you to direct your marketing strategies specifically towards overall profit.

Accessing the Function

You can find the Total ACOS metric in several places within BidX: On the dashboard, you can select the Total ACOS metric. Additionally, Total ACOS (%) is available as a condition/metric when creating or editing automations and rules.

Setting Target Total ACOS as an Automation Goal

To set a specific target for your Total ACOS, open Segment Management and create a new automation or edit an existing automation in your chosen segment. Here, you can choose Total ACOS (%) as the target value and enter your desired value. Your campaigns will now be optimized based on this value.

Using Total ACOS as a Rule Condition

Within a segment in Segment Management, go to create or edit an individual rule. Here, you can select Total ACOS (%) directly as a criterion and determine when actions should be taken if the Total ACOS goes above or below a certain value.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • For calculation, sales data from connected sources like Sellerboard or the Selling Partner API is required. If this data is outdated or missing, the value may be incomplete or incorrect.
  • In rules and automations, Total ACOS (%) can only be selected if the feature is enabled and SP data is available.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Make sure your campaigns and ad groups are correctly assigned in the Structure area to ensure all advertising costs are included in Total ACOS.
  • Check your revenue source integrations (like Sellerboard) regularly so that sales data is always up to date.
