Overview

With Share of Voice Credits, agencies can manage a central credits pool. You can assign any number of credits to individual advertisers, giving them different capacities for keyword ranking analysis. Credits assigned to an advertiser are immediately subtracted from your agency pool. If you remove credits from an advertiser, they go straight back into your central pool. This gives you maximum flexibility and control over how credits are used within your agency.

Accessing the Function

You can manage Share of Voice Credits through the User menu in the Manage Advertisers section. Here, you can adjust SoV credits as needed.

Step-by-Step Guide

Check Credits Overview: Understand Your Current Status

To check your available credits, open Manage Advertisers. In the Share of Voice Credits section, you will find two key details:

  • Available Share of Voice Credits shows the unassigned credits in your agency pool.
  • Total Share of Voice Credits for all accounts indicates how many credits are currently assigned across all advertisers.

The SoV column shows at a glance how many credits each advertiser has right now. If this section is not visible, Share of Voice may not be activated for your account, or your role does not have sufficient permissions.

Assign or Remove Credits for an Advertiser: Adjusting Distribution

To change the credits for a specific advertiser, click Edit (pencil icon) in their row. A new window called Edit Advertiser will open. In the Available Share of Voice Credits field, enter a new number. If you increase the value, the additional credits will be subtracted from the agency pool immediately. If you decrease the value, the freed-up credits will return to your pool. The minimum is always 0, and the maximum is your current pool plus the number already assigned to the advertiser. Click Save to confirm your change or Cancel to discard. If your pool is exhausted, no further credits can be assigned.

Note: Only admins have access to these functions. If your account is not set up for user management, you will see a message: "This account is not yet set up for user management. Please contact our support."

Check Results: Ensure Everything Is Correct

After saving, verify the updated values. The SoV column for each advertiser and the Available Share of Voice Credits will immediately show the new numbers. You can repeat this for other advertisers as often as needed. Every change is effective right away.

Input Note: Only enter whole numbers in the Available Share of Voice Credits field. Assign higher values if an advertiser needs many keyword rankings or lower values if their needs decrease. Regularly monitor the needs of your advertisers to ensure optimal credit use.

Settings & Options

Next to the SoV column header, you'll find a brief explanation of Share of Voice Credits: This value shows the number of credits currently assigned to each sub-account by the main account. To top up your pool, go to Subscription Settings. During checkout, look for the Share of Voice Credits option.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • You will only see Share of Voice Credits sections if Share of Voice is activated for your account.
  • The Manage Advertisers option is only visible to users with admin roles.
  • You can never assign more credits than are available in your pool. Negative values are not allowed: the minimum value is 0, the maximum is your available pool plus the credits already assigned to the advertiser.
  • Whenever you assign or remove credits, your agency pool is adjusted automatically.
  • If your account does not meet the requirements for user management setup, you will see a warning and can contact support.

Tips & Best Practices

  • It is recommended to keep a reserve of Available Share of Voice Credits so you can quickly respond to changing demand.
  • If your credits are limited, prioritize advertisers who need keyword ranking functionality the most.
