Overview

Bulk operations let you change properties such as tags or titles for many products at once using an Excel template. Download your current product table as a template, make your edits directly in Excel, and upload the file again. This makes mass updates easier and reduces errors that can happen when editing products one by one.

Accessing the Function

To use bulk operations, navigate to the Product Settings section. Click the gear icon at the top right for Settings. In the dropdown, you'll find Bulk Settings.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open the Bulk Modal – Download the Template or Prepare Your File

Start bulk editing by clicking the gear icon Settings and then Bulk Settings. A window called “Bulk Operations” will open. Here, you can later drag your file in or select it by clicking.

If you don’t have an updated file yet, you first need to download your current settings.

Step 2: Download the Template – “Export Settings”

In the window, click the Export Settings link. This downloads an Excel file (such as “BidX_sku_bulk_operations.xlsx”) with your current product data, which serves as the basis for your bulk changes.

If you already have an up-to-date template, you can skip this step. Avoid using old templates, as the structure may change over time.

Step 3: Edit the Excel File – Update Tags and Costs

Open the downloaded file in Excel. You can now make the desired changes in the appropriate columns, such as Title or Tags, for your products. Update or fill in values as needed.

Example: You might assign the value “Sale” to several products in the “Tag” field, or enter new values in the Title column.

Be sure not to change or remove any column headers. If you do, the upload will not work.

Step 4: Upload the File – Apply Your Changes

Drag the edited file into the Bulk Operations window, or choose it manually by clicking the designated area. Once you've selected the file, a confirmation dialog will appear.

Note: If you upload a file that is not in Excel format (.xlsx or .xls), you will see an error message.

Step 5: Confirm Upload – Pay Attention to the Warning

A clear warning dialog will appear, labeled Warning! It states that uploading the file will overwrite existing product data or create new settings, depending on your Excel file. Click Accept to proceed or Cancel if you'd like to review the file again.

Step 6: Review Results – Reload Products

After the upload is successful, your product list will automatically reload. All changes to costs, tags, and other fields will now be visible in the overview.

If any changes were not applied, please check the relevant rows in your Excel file for correct formatting and ensure all required fields are filled.

Settings & Options

The gear icon Settings on the Product Settings page opens the menu item Bulk Settings. All further options and needed actions can be found in the appearing “Bulk Operations” modal.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • Only Excel files in .xlsx or .xls format are accepted. Uploading other formats will result in an error.
  • Clicking Accept will overwrite existing settings or add new ones according to your Excel file content.
  • If you use an old or changed template, the upload may fail (for example, with the message “Incompatible Bulk-Excel Version”). Please always export a fresh template.
  • Depending on file size and number of products, uploading and reloading the list may take some time.
  • If no products are shown, check if your Amazon profile is connected.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Before each bulk update, always download a new template using Export Settings to avoid version conflicts.
  • Never change the column headers or structure of the Excel table.
  • For large updates, it's best to test with a small selection of products first.
