Overview

The dashboard displays all your key metrics in customizable elements, such as charts or tiles. By using the Edit Layout function, you enter edit mode. Here, you can move elements by drag & drop and resize them as needed. Once you're happy with your arrangement, click Save to apply your changes. If you want to discard your edits, click Cancel to revert to your original layout.

Accessing the Function

To use the layout feature, first open the Dashboard from the main navigation. At the top, you'll find a dropdown menu to switch between dashboards. This list includes dashboards for DSP, AMC, and Walmart. On the right, click the menu button (⋮) to open the context menu, where you can select Edit Layout.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Select a Dashboard

Choose your desired dashboard by clicking the dashboard dropdown at the top left. You will see a list of all available dashboards and can easily switch between them. You can also Sort Dashboards using various criteria, or Add a new dashboard. If there are no dashboards yet, you'll see No Dashboards as a placeholder – you can start by clicking Add Dashboard.

Step 2: Enter Layout Mode

After selecting your dashboard, click the menu button (⋮) in the top right and choose Edit Layout. This enables layout mode: All dashboard elements are now resizable and movable.

Note: The Edit Layout feature isn’t available on AMC dashboards or for users with view-only permissions.

Step 3: Arrange Elements

In layout mode, you can move any element within the dashboard by dragging it to another spot. Use the handles on the edges or corners to resize elements – giving more space to key KPIs if needed. Some elements have minimum or maximum sizes, but within those limits, you’re free to adjust. When you move an element, the dashboard will automatically reorganize other elements as needed.

Step 4: Save or Discard Changes

Once you’ve set your layout, use the buttons at the top of the screen. Click Save to keep your changes. If you made changes you don’t want, click Cancel to return to the state before editing the layout.

Step 5: Add Additional Content (Optional)

If you want to extend your dashboard, leave layout mode first, then use Add Element to insert new tiles (such as charts or tables).

Step 6: More Menu Actions (Optional)

  • Dashboard Settings: Change the dashboard’s name or other properties.
  • Export: Export your dashboard, for example as a PDF.
  • Duplicate: Create a copy of the current dashboard. Temporary filters can be duplicated if active.
  • Delete: Remove the current dashboard after confirming.
  • Manage Templates: Create or select templates for use in new dashboards.
  • Global Targets: Set targets visible in all dashboard charts.
  • Share Dashboards: Share your dashboard with other users.

Settings & Options

Manage Templates

From the context menu (⋮), select Manage Templates. Here, you’ll see all templates available to use for new dashboards or when onboarding new clients. Click New to create your own template – choose a name (visible only to you) and, if desired, select an existing dashboard to base your template on.

Are you an agency client? With Apply to all clients now, you can instantly roll out a template to all existing client dashboards.

Sort Dashboards

The dashboard dropdown menu's Sort Dashboards provides different sorting options:

  • Alphabetical
  • Reverse alphabetical
  • Oldest first
  • Newest first (default)
  • By dashboard type
  • Manual

Pick the sorting option that fits your preferences or workflow.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • Dashboard Types: For AMC dashboards, layout adjustments and some actions like adding elements or exporting are generally disabled.
  • Save/Cancel: Changes only take effect after clicking Save. Clicking Cancel discards all changes in progress.
  • Performance: When saving, layout changes are stored. Depending on the scope, short loading times may occur.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use larger tiles for key metrics (KPIs), while smaller ones work well for tables or details.
  • Group related elements closely for better clarity and navigation.
  • Save regularly – especially after many adjustments – to avoid losing changes.
  • The Duplicate feature lets you reuse layouts for similar dashboards – useful if you manage many related dashboards.
  • Use Manage Templates to centrally maintain recurring layouts, which is especially helpful for admins.
