Overview

Linking Ventory One with BidX ensures your inventory and related forecasts are automatically available in BidX. This enables inventory-based campaign management via the Schedule feature: your advertising activities can be precisely adjusted to your current product availability. For example, you can avoid running campaigns for items that are out of stock.

Accessing the Function

You can find the Ventory One integration in your Account Settings within BidX. Go to the Integrations section and select Ventory One from the list.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Copy the Auth Token in BidX

Navigate to the Ventory One area. Copy the generated Auth Token from the field within the Ventory One section. This is your personal access key for secure data transfer between Ventory One and BidX. Make sure to keep your token confidential.

Step 2: Enter the Token in Ventory One

Now switch to Ventory One. Paste the copied Auth Token in the designated field. Follow any additional instructions there. This ensures synchronization between the two systems is activated. If Ventory One rejects your token as invalid, return to BidX to generate a new token and try again.

Step 3: Check the Connection

After entering your token, it’s best to wait a short time. Within the next few hours, you can check in the system if your inventory data is reflected in reports or automations. If no data appears, try entering the token again or generate a new token in BidX and update it in Ventory One.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • The Auth Token is a sensitive security item: never share it with third parties and use it only to connect Ventory One.
  • Every new token generated immediately deactivates all previous tokens. Be sure to update your token in Ventory One right away to avoid interruptions.
  • Synchronization is managed by Ventory One. If the token expires or is invalid, inventory data will stop updating.
  • Very frequent updates may be technically limited. If you experience issues, wait briefly and retry the synchronization.
  • To allow BidX to manage your campaigns, make sure all relevant SKUs, inventory levels, and forecasts are entered in Ventory One.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Store your Auth Token securely and only use it in Ventory One.
  • Check and refresh your token regularly. If you suspect unauthorized use, generate a new token immediately.
  • After each token change, immediately update the new token in Ventory One to prevent synchronization failures.
