Overview
A default dashboard loads automatically the first time you open your BidX account. You can create as many dashboards as you need for different purposes – such as specific teams, ad platforms (e.g., Classic, DSP, AMC), or areas of interest. For a quick start, you can insert predefined standard data so your dashboard immediately shows content.
Accessing the Function
You can insert standard data in the Dashboard section. At the top, you'll find the Action Bar. Here, you have access to a dropdown to select your dashboards and buttons such as Add and Sort.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Create a New Dashboard
To create a new dashboard, open the dashboard dropdown in the Action Bar and select Add. A window will open where you can set up the basics. Give your dashboard a clear name. You can choose the currency – the account currency is set by default. Under Scorecard Display Mode, you decide whether metrics should be shown as absolute or relative values. Depending on the dashboard type (e.g., Classic or DSP), different features are available. For DSP dashboards, you'll also need to select a suitable DSP Advertiser. Click Cancel to close the window without saving, or Create to add your new dashboard.
Step 2: Add Content to Your Dashboard
Once your dashboard is created, you'll see a blank page. You can now either add individual charts using the Add Chart button or quickly insert predefined charts that fit your dashboard type by clicking Insert Standard Data.
Settings & Options
You have various options to personalize your dashboard. Use Filters to temporarily limit the data displayed – this only affects the current view. Select a Date to adjust the time frame shown. The sort feature changes the order of dashboards in the dropdown, but doesn't affect which dashboard is the default. You can sort by name, creation date, type, or manually.
Limitations & Special Notes
- When adding standard data for the first time, there may be short loading times, especially for large dashboards.
- For DSP dashboards, selecting a DSP Advertiser is required.
- Changing the currency or scorecard settings often causes the charts to reload.
Tips & Best Practices
- Give your dashboards meaningful names so you can quickly find them in the dropdown, for example by team, topic, or use case.
- Insert Standard Data helps you get started efficiently, and you can then customize the suggested charts as needed. For different requirements, create separate dashboards instead of mixing everything into one.
- After changes (e.g., currency/scorecard mode), check that your KPIs still display valid data.
