Overview

The order controls the priority of your automations and rules. Within a segment, you can decide which "Automation," "individual rules," or "One Time Rule" will be applied first. Additionally, you can adjust the "order of segments." Segments listed higher in the overview are given priority when BidX makes adjustments. This means you can precisely prioritize your logic both within individual segments and across different segments.

Accessing the Function

To change the order of automations or segments, open the Segment Management area from the main menu. There you will find all relevant options to manage the priorities for your entries and segments.

Step-by-Step Guide

Change the order within a segment: Set the priority for automations and rules

  1. Open Segment Management.
  2. Find the desired segment and expand it.
  3. You can now move individual Automations, individual rules, or One Time Rules freely using drag & drop. Use the handles to the left of each entry.

If an Automation appears higher in the list, it will be applied before other rules. Place your most important automations at the top to have them take effect first. individual rules are applied according to their position relative to automations above or below them. If you want a specific rule to take precedence, simply drag it to the desired spot within the segment.

You can enable or disable entries using the Status toggle. Disabled rules will not run, regardless of their position in the list.

If you don't see any entries in the segment yet, you can add them using New Automation or New individual rules.

Change the order of segments: Set the priority between segments

  1. Click the settings gear icon to open Settings.
  2. Select Edit Prioritization.
  3. Now you can reorder the segments using drag & drop.
  4. When you're satisfied with the order, click Back to Overview to exit edit mode and return to the main segment view. Once changed, you will see a brief confirmation that the segments have been reprioritized. The new order is active immediately.

Segments at the top of the list have higher priority and will be considered first when adjustments are made.

Settings & Options

The Marketplace filter lets you control the view for specific marketplaces. This is helpful if you need different priorities for each country or marketplace. However, the order you set for entries always applies across the whole segment, no matter which marketplace is displayed.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • Changes to the order take effect immediately and are active from the moment you make them.
  • Within a segment, the first entry has the highest priority, followed by the others in order.
  • Across segments, those positioned higher in the overview are given priority.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Place your most important and general automations at the top of the list so they always act first. More specific rules should go further down, so they only apply if previous rules do not cover the situation.
