Overview
The DSP Dashboard is a specialized type within the "Dashboard" section. It allows you to set up dedicated dashboards for each DSP advertiser, add custom charts and key performance indicators (KPIs), and filter your analyses without making permanent changes. Exports and scheduled reports ensure that you and your team always stay up to date. In the dashboard selection menu, you can easily identify the DSP type by the DSP badge.
Accessing the Function
You can find DSP Dashboards directly through the navigation under Dashboard. The option to create a DSP Dashboard appears when you set up a new dashboard, provided at least one DSP advertiser is connected. If not, helpful product messages will prompt you to connect a DSP advertiser first.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Create a DSP Dashboard
To create a new DSP Dashboard, open the Dashboard section. Click Add in the dashboard selection or use Add Dashboard under Settings in the menu. In the dialog, you can give your dashboard a name, select the type (Classic, DSP, AMC), and set the display currency. Choose DSP if you want to analyze DSP data specifically. You will then be required to select a DSP advertiser. You can also decide whether the displayed scorecards should show absolute or relative values. After clicking Create, your dashboard will be set up and available immediately. If no DSP advertisers appear, you must connect them first – contact support or your account manager if you need assistance.
Step 2: Switch to Your DSP Dashboard
After creation, you’ll be taken straight to your new DSP dashboard. You can also switch between dashboards at any time from the dashboard selection menu. Look for the DSP badge in the dropdown to quickly identify the right type. Once selected, the corresponding layout with all your charts and settings will load.
Step 3: Add DSP Charts
Use the Add Element button to add new charts and scorecards to your DSP Dashboard. Select the relevant DSP client or several if you manage multiple advertisers as an agency. Choose your data aggregation method, such as by Order, Line Item, or Creative. Then pick specific KPIs like Impressions, ROAS [Promoted], Product Sales [Promoted], Click-Through Rate (CTR), or Video Completion Rate (VCR). The exact terms can be found directly in the selection dialog. Depending on your user role, saving, duplicating, or deleting elements may not be available.
With the Insert Standard Data button, you can quickly generate a dashboard that includes a line chart with your DSP data plus several scorecards with DSP KPIs.
Step 4: Temporarily Filter Content: Analyze Without Changing the Dashboard
For short-term analyses without making permanent changes, use the Temporary section in the action bar. Here, you can set the date range or apply additional filters such as by campaign or units. These filters are only valid for the current view and session – your actual dashboards remain unchanged.
Step 5: Manage Your Dashboard – Settings, Exporting, Sharing, and Layout
In the Settings menu (identified by the three-dot icon), you’ll find all administrative options for your current DSP Dashboard. Here you can change the name, currency, and display mode. Export lets you either instantly export reports or schedule regular exports. You can set the frequency (e.g., weekly or monthly) and recipients including BCC. Use Duplicate to copy an existing dashboard, and Delete to remove it permanently. Edit Layout allows you to rearrange key tiles via drag & drop – save changes by clicking Save. Admins can also manage templates and share dashboards with selected recipients.
Settings & Options
In the Settings menu, you can fully customize your DSP Dashboard: manage the name, currency, display mode, templates, and sharing permissions. Exports are possible both as one-time or recurring scheduled reports. Flexible filter and layout options give you maximum freedom for individual analysis.
Limitations & Special Notes
- Depending on your user role, certain actions such as Add Dashboard, Add Element, Duplicate, or editing the layout may be disabled.
- DSP Dashboards can only be created if at least one advertiser with DSP integration exists – otherwise the DSP type will not be shown during setup.
- In the dashboard overview, you’ll always recognize created DSP Dashboards by their DSP badge.
- Temporary filters in the action bar only apply for the current session and are reset upon reopening.
Tips & Best Practices
- Create a separate dashboard for each DSP advertiser to ensure clarity and proper report segmentation.
- Use the Temporary function for quick, ad-hoc analyses without overwriting any data.
- Set up scheduled exports to automatically send reports to the desired recipients at regular intervals.
