Do You Take Archived Entities Into Account?

Analytics gives you a complete overview of all entries – whether they are active, paused, or archived.

Answer

Yes, Analytics takes archived entries into account. By default, you see all statuses – "Active," "Paused," "Archived," and, if changes are in progress, "In Progress" as well. These are reflected both in the table and in the totals. If you want to focus only on active or paused entries, you can use the status filter. The display and overall totals automatically adjust to your selected filter, so you always get the exact metrics you need.

Accessing the Function

You can find this setting within Analytics. To do so, navigate to Analytics via the Main Menu and select the section that matters to you – such as Marketplaces, Portfolios, Campaigns, Ad Groups, Targets, Negative Targets, Product Ads, or Search Terms. At the top, you can use Add Filter to open the status filter and choose exactly which types of entries you want to display.

Settings & Options

Within the status filter, you can select from various options:

  • Active: Displays active entries.
  • Paused: Lists paused items.
  • Archived: Includes archived entries too.
  • In Progress: Shows entries currently being modified.

With Reset Filters, you can restore all filter settings and return to the complete overview. The Date Range is set by default to the last 30 days up to yesterday, but can be adjusted at any time according to your needs. Via Edit Columns, you can choose which columns are visible in the table. This does not affect the filtered status.

Limitations & Special Notes

  • If you are working with many profiles or filters, data loading may take a few seconds.
  • Totals always reflect your current filter selection.
  • The status "In Progress" may appear briefly while changes are processing; it can be filtered just like any other status.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Use the status filter to focus on active management tasks and hide archived entries as needed.
  • For trend or long-term analyses, it’s a good idea to also select "Archived" to maintain the historical performance data.
  • Via Edit Columns, you can permanently display the key metrics you need, such as "Status," "Cost," or "Sales."
  • With Copy URL, you can share the exact current view (including all filter settings) with your team or save it for later.
  • If some values look unexpected, try resetting the filters with Reset Filters. Often, combinations of active filters are responsible for unusual displays.
