Can I See Whether a Marketplace Is a Vendor or a Seller?
With Analytics, you can quickly check the key figures for each connected marketplace at a glance.
Answer
To find out whether a marketplace is a Vendor Central or Seller account, look at the Marketplace column in the Analytics overview. Simply hover your mouse over the country code or the flag in this column. If you see the addition (AMS) after the country code, for example DE (AMS), it is a Vendor Central marketplace. If the (AMS) label is missing, it is a regular Seller marketplace. This indicator allows you to distinguish the marketplace connection in just a few seconds.
Accessing the Function
You can access the desired overview in the main menu via Analytics. There, select the Marketplaces section. Here you will find all connected marketplaces with their relevant information and can view details. The Marketplace column is also shown in all other tabs, so you can always check whether it is a Seller or Vendor account.
Settings & Options
If you don’t see the Marketplace column in your view, click Edit columns at the top right and activate the Marketplace option. With Add filter, you can specifically filter for certain marketplaces – for example, by country or type of connection – to refine your analysis.
Limitations & Special Notes
- The distinction between Vendor/Seller is made solely via the (AMS) label when you hover over the marketplace value with your mouse.
- You only see marketplaces that are actually connected to your account and where data is available.
- Depending on the amount of data, there may be occasional short loading times.
Tips & Best Practices
- If you want to work in more detail, use the Marketplaces area to quickly jump directly into the Campaigns for a specific marketplace with just one click.
- Use the Marketplace filter tool to focus on specific countries or marketplaces as needed.
