Overview
The Agency Dashboard lets you create charts that aggregate data from multiple clients or display it at the client level. When creating a chart, you can select which clients (advertisers) to include. KPIs from all selected accounts are then summarized and visualized together, or grouped by client, in the dashboard. You can also duplicate a dashboard and share it with multiple clients. However, these are copies – no further data aggregation takes place in the copies.
Accessing the Function
You can access this feature via the main navigation under Dashboards. Click the Add Element button at the top right to create new charts or tables. In the Chart Creator – if you are working with an agency account – a special Clients section allows you to select multiple accounts simultaneously.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Create a New Chart
First, go to the Dashboards section and select your desired dashboard. Click Add Element in the top right to open the selection for charts and tables.
Step 2: Choose a Chart Type
Select the chart type that best fits your needs – such as Line Chart, Bar Chart, Table, or Scorecard.
Step 3: Select Clients – Combine Subaccounts
In the Chart Creator, you'll find the Clients section. Use the multiselect field to choose one or more clients at once. You can enter names in the search field to quickly find the right clients. Options for the chart only become available once you have selected at least one client.
If you are not using an agency account, the Clients section will not appear – you can only work with your current account.
Step 4: Configure Chart – Define Display and Metrics
In Configure Chart, specify which KPIs and visualizations you want to use. Depending on the chart type, you can also set further options like axes, display type, or comparison values. Many of these options are only available after selecting clients.
If you set Grouping (X-Axis) to Client, your chosen KPIs will be shown at the client level, letting you compare client performance directly.
If you choose to group by something else, like date, data from all selected clients will be aggregated together.
Step 5: Save Chart – See the Result in Your Dashboard
Click Save to add your new chart to the dashboard. Data will be automatically aggregated across all selected subaccounts unless grouped by "Client." To modify an existing chart, use Update. Use the sorting function to reorder your charts, or use Share Dashboards to quickly distribute copies of a dashboard to multiple client accounts (without aggregation).
Settings & Options
- Share Dashboards: With the action button in the top right, you can quickly distribute finished dashboards as templates to as many clients as you like. In the dialog, select the dashboard and clients you want to share with, then send with a click.
- Global Target Values: Set target KPIs for each dashboard. These will be shown in every chart within the dashboard.
Limitations & Special Notes
- Agency Requirement: The Clients section in the Chart Creator is only visible with agency-level permissions. Without these permissions, you cannot combine subaccounts.
- Required Selection: Many chart options are disabled until you select at least one client in the Clients section.
- Filter Effects: Selected clients also impact other filters such as portfolios or campaigns. Data is always limited to the chosen accounts.
Tips & Best Practices
- Start with a few clients and expand your aggregation gradually. If you add too many at once, it may become less clear.
- Use filters and date constraints to analyze aggregated data more effectively.
- Create focused charts for different questions – avoid making your aggregations too complex.
