Can a Campaign Belong to Multiple Segments? What Happens Then?
Segments help you group campaigns using custom rules. This article explains if and how a campaign can belong to multiple segments at once, and what the effects are.
Answer
Yes, a campaign can easily belong to multiple segments at the same time. If a campaign meets the criteria of several segments, it will appear in all applicable segments and be included in each one. To see which ad segments a campaign belongs to, you can hover over the checkmark in the Automation column at the campaign level in Analytics to view a list of ad segments containing that campaign.
If several campaigns are in a segment, changes from segments with higher priority are applied first. If multiple individual rules target the same campaign, these are applied in a specific order to ensure adjustments are never applied twice.

In the Analytics section under Campaigns, the Automation column shows your campaigns along with their associated segments.
Limitations & Special Notes
The segment assignment for each campaign is based on your custom rules. After rules are changed, it may take a short time for all assignments in the overview to update. The automation status in Discover may also not refresh instantly. In Automation Info, you'll see when updates might be delayed by several hours.
